South Africa
South Africa has the oldest wine industry in the New World. While 30% of all wine produced is Chenin Blanc (locally known as Steen), the top end wines tend to be made from Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Merlot as well as South Africa's 'own' grape, Pinotage.
