Abadal DO Pla de Bages Seleccio 2004

Very intense black cherry colour. Complex aromas with the freshness of violets associated mainly with Syrah, the red fruit, cherry, redcurrant and plum-jam taste of Cabernet Sauvignon and the blueberry confiture and toffee flavours of Cabernet Franc. The overall effect is harmonious, and combines the subtle freshness of flowers and fresh fruit with the poten, rounded base of ripe fruit with woody notes and traces of balsam (menthol liquorice), typical of bottle-aged wines of the region.
