Lionel Osmin Apothicaire de l’Armagnac Baco 2005 is a rare single varietal and single vintage Armagnac produced using a traditional method.
Osmin aims to highlight the original Armagnac grape varieties (10 possible in the appellation) and give each of their cuvées a clean and authentic style typical of the South West of France.
The eaux-de-vie from the L’Apothicaire de l’Armagnac collection are single varietal.
Their alcoholic strengths are not reduced and they are not artificially coloured and are sulphite-free.
There is also no blending between different years, to keep the identity and uniqueness of each Armagnac.
This particular expression is made using the Baco grape variety which is particularly adapted to the sandy soils of Bas-Armagnac. There, it offers an ample, intense and high character eau-de-vie but which requires prolonged aging.
It was then bottled at a robust cask strength of 57.8% ABV.
